December 2 [16:30 EDT] -- Led Zeppelin made rock history recently by just officially being named the second biggest selling band of all time, after The Beatles.
In addition, Led Zeppelin has a new live double album out entitled "BBC Sessions." It is a collection of vintage radio performances from 1969 and 1971, recorded just after the band reformed out of the remnants of the Yardbirds.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant supervised the remastering of the aged tapes, which included two previously unreleased songs; a cover of Eddie Cochran's 1959 hit, "Somethin' Else," and an original song called "The Girl I Love." Page and Plant also claim they will have a new album out early next year.
Also newly available is a video montage of old footage of Led Zeppelin performing their signature tune, "Whole Lotta Love", which can be viewed in its entirety at www.atlantic-records.com.
