Mya just completed shooting the video for her duet with rapper Silkk the Shocker on "Somebody Like Me," her most recent small screen role. Now the R&B vixen has her sites set on the big screen.
Mya is set to make her cinematic debut with a small part in "In Too Deep," the upcoming crime-action film also starring rappers Nas and L.L. Cool J (see "L.L. Cool J To Play Villain For 'In Too Deep'"), as well as Omar Epps, Pam Grier and Stanley Tucci.
Meanwhile, the young songstress has been asked to serve as a special celebrity judge at the USA Gymnastics National Competition, where she will also perform -- some songs, not backflips. Mya is also making the rounds in the print media as well, and is scheduled to appear in the February issue of "Vibe" magazine as well as the April issue of "Teen People."
Earlier this month, Mya was nominated along with Pras and Ol' Dirty Bastard for a Grammy Award in the category Best Rap Performance
By A Duo Or Group for the single "Ghetto Superstar."
