KRS-One Land Executive Position At Label, Records With Sugar Ray

Rapper KRS-One will be headed to the clubs soon, but not in the capacity he's usually accustomed to.

Rather than performing at the venues, as KRS-One did as part of the recent Lyricist Lounge tour, the rapper will now be there to scout out new names and to sign new talent, as KRS has just been appointed to an A&R position at Reprise Records, according to "The Hollywood Reporter."

In related news, KRS-One has also lined up a guest appearance on a track for Sugar Ray's next album, and in March 1999 plans to release his own new record, "Maximum Strike," the follow-up to last year's "I Got Next."
