Sevendust Sets Sights On Korn Producer As Studio Time Looms

When proto-metal outfit Sevendust heads to the studio this spring, they'll get a hand from one of the men behind Korn's "Follow The Leader."

Toby Wright, who co-produced Korn's most recent album (along with Steve Thompson and Korn), will join Sevendust in late March at Boston's Longview Studios to begin work on the album. In addition to his work with Korn, Wright has also worked on albums from Alice in Chains, The Wallflowers, and Slayer.

As we first reported last month (see "Twisted Sister Guitarist Re-Teams With Sevendust, Ponders Reunion Tour"), Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French, who produced Sevendust's debut album, will also have a hand in the production.

After laying down tracks in Boston, the band will head to New York o mix the album with Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine and Everclear).

The band has also sketched out a few song titles for the album, including "Feel So,"

"Denial," "Head Trip," and "Fly Straight." The band is hoping to have those songs, and many more, wrapped up and in record stores by the end of the summer.
