Industrial rockers KMFDM have called it quits after 15 years together… or have they?
The group's founder, Sascha Konietzko, issued a statement on Friday that simply declared, "KMFDM is dead." The band offered no further comment, other than to say that they were adhering to a "media black out" until March 1, the date that would mark the group's 15th anniversary.
A spokesperson for the group's record label, TVT Records, told MTV News that he could not elaborate on the statement, except to say that KMFDM's last album with TVT Records, "Adios," will hit stores on April 13.
The group has released nine albums, including the recent collections "AGOGO" and "RETRO."
