Kiss is currently on a sold-out farewell tour that will run until early July (at least), and now the members of the band have decided to offer fans the opportunity to purchase a little piece of Kiss history.
The veteran rock band has teamed with Butterfields Auctioneers and Greg Manning Auctions, Inc. to auction off many of the band’s instruments, original costumes, memorabilia, and personally owned items dating back to the group’s 1972 inception.
The event, billed as “Kiss The Auction,” is scheduled to take place live on June 24 and 25 at Paramount Studios’ Theater in Los Angeles. The auction will include real-time Internet bidding, allowing Kiss fans around the world to take part.
Illustrated catalogs for the upcoming auction can be purchased online at www.butterfields.com/KISS or www.gregmanning.com and will also be shown
for public review around the country throughout this month at the following locations:
- May 5-7 Greg Manning Gallery – West Caldwell, NJ
- May 12-14 Butterfields Gallery – Chicago, IL
- May 16-18 Butterfields Gallery – Los Angeles, CA
- May 26-28 Butterfields Gallery – San Francisco, CA
The entire sale will also be previewed in Los Angeles at Butterfields’ Sunset Blvd. Gallery June 16 through 18.
When “Kiss The Auction” takes place on June 24 and 25, items can be purchased at any of the Greg Manning or Butterfields galleries as well as online and by telephone.
