Boyz II Men, DJ Quik, Trick Daddy, Pharoahe Monch, and Kina are among the artists that have been added to the all-star hip-hop lineup for UrbanFest L.A., a two-day music festival being held on June 24-25 on the University of Southern California campus.

Those artists join the list of previously announced performers for UrbanFest L.A., including Common, De La Soul, Taleb Kweli, Ideal, Spragga Benz, Dwayne Wiggins, The Spooks, and Avant, among others (see [article id="1427442"]"Common, De La Soul Headed To UrbanFest L.A."[/article]).

The festival is being held in conjunction with the university's 4th annual Urban Focus Music Conference and is expected to draw from 10,000 to 12,000 concertgoers each day. Proceeds from the two shows will be split among several local charities, including Urban Focus Music Foundation, the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, the Temple of Hip-Hop Kulture, and Music & Kids, Inc.

Boyz II Men will likely use the UrbanFest L.A. show as an opportunity to premiere new material from its upcoming album, "Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya," which is now due out on September 12. The first single from the new record, the group's first since 1997's "Evolution," will be for the track "Pass You By," which will be released to radio on July 11.
