Hip-hop DJ Kid Capri has been tapped to man the turntables at the Home Run Derby for the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Game, slated for July 10 at Turner Field in Atlanta.
The event will be telecast live on ESPN starting at 8:00 p.m. (ET). The Home Run Derby has become one of the most popular events in All-Star week, second only to the All-Star Game itself, which will be held the following day, July 11.
It's not yet known which Major League sluggers will participate in the annual ego-stroking clash, which last year was won by Ken Griffey, Jr., but each contestant will choose their accompanying music prior to the event, and Capri will spin their selections as they go to bat.
Baseball fans still have five days left to cast their ballot for their favorite National and American league stars, with the balloting set to end on July 1. The rosters will be released on July 4, with the pitchers, who are selected by the managers and league presidents, announced
