R&B crooner and expert songwriter/arranger Donell Jones has wrapped up shooting a video for the title track from his second album "Where I Wanna Be."Jones and director Little X (who's done work for Redman and Deborah Cox) shot the video in Toronto, and the clip features cameos from clothing designer Karl Kani and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, formerly of A Tribe Called Quest. Along with news of the shoot comes word that "Where I Wanna Be" has just been certified gold, thanks in part to the success of the single "U Know What's Up." The track grabbed the number one spot on the "Billboard" R&B singles chart for eight consecutive weeks at the end of 1999. Jones, who got his break working on vocal arrangements for Madonna's "Bedtime Stories," is currently on the "Ladies Night" tour with Ginuwine, K-Ci & JoJo, and Ideal. "Where I Wanna Be" also features the first single "Shorty (Got Her Eyes on Me)" and "Have You Seen Her" co-written with Eric Williams of Blackstreet.
