September 22 [7:55 EDT] -- The Jane's Addiction reunion, dubbed a relapse by Jane's frontman Perry Farrell, will kick off a U.S. tour with a two-night stand in New York City beginning on October 30.
The group, with original members Farrell, Dave Navarro, and Stephen Perkins with bassist Flea filling out the line-up, is also confirmed to play a Los Angeles date on November 28. A full tour itinerary is expected to be announced shortly.
Farrell and drummer Perkins have spent their post-Jane's time playing with guitarist Peter DiStefano and various bassists as Porno For Pyros, and the line-up of Farrell, Perkins, Navarro, Flea, and DiStefano played a few select dates earlier this year as Porno For Pyros (see "Porno For Pyros Shows Shades Of Jane's Addiction" from March 3 in the MTV News Gallery).
While that band spiced up its set of Porno For Pyros material with a few select
here and there, this upcoming outing is expected to be a Jane's-heavy affair.
As previously reported, Jane's Addiction will release a collection of rarities, live tracks, and two newly recorded tracks, called Kettle Whistle, in November.
