No Replicas For Corgan, But Pumpkins Join Jane

November 4 [12:00 EDT] -- The Replicas will be making their debut at a benefit Saturday, November 8 at the Double Door in Chicago, but the Gary Numan tribute band will be without co-founder Billy Corgan.

Hometown Chicago fans, however, did get a chance to see Corgan with his OTHER band, The Smashing Pumpkins, when they put in a special appearance at the Jane's Addiction show in the windy city last night.

The Replicas are Corgan, former Filter bandmates Brian Liesegang on keyboards and Matt Walker on drums, and for the Replica's Chicago show, Ministry cohort Chris Connelly out front along with Soloman Snyder on bass and Greg Suran on guitar.

Benefit organizer Laura Ashman told MTV News that Corgan had been booked to appear at the "Art in Fashion" fashion show and concert supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation but then a schedule change meant that he and his Smashing Pumpkins bandmates would be heading to Los Angeles to record that day.
