Jane's Addiction Reaches Out To Couple Shut Out Of New York Show

November 7 [10:30 EDT] -- Two of the fans who were shut out of a recent Jane's Addiction show in New York because of what appears to be an elaborate ticket counterfeiting scam will finally get to see the band.

Denis Raketic and his girlfriend, Sanja Martic (who flew to New York from Croatia specifically for the show) will be the band's guests when Jane's performs on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

The couple shelled out $250 for tickets to the band's Halloween night show in New York, only to find that they were among some 300 fans who were shut out of the venue by the New York Police Department. It seems that a number of people holding counterfeit tickets were allowed into the show, filling it to capacity before all holders of legitimate tickets were admitted.

"It was an incredible nightmare, and I was thinking, 'This is the kind of thing that happens back home, but not here in America,'" Martic said in a written statement.

Once the band learned of the

couple's plight, frontman Perry Farrell put the word out that he wanted them tracked down and invited to the group's SNL appearance.

Martic and Raketic will also join the band at a post-show party in the wee small hours Saturday night.
