Blackstreet's Teddy Riley Talks About Re-Working Michael Jackson

May 7 [7:55 EST] -- Teddy Riley and his group BLACKstreet were in New York City this week, taping their own edition of "Unplugged," where the multi-talented Riley talked to MTV News about his contribution to the upcoming Michael Jackson remix album, "Blood on the Dancefloor."

Riley co-wrote and originally co-produced the title track for the album (which is due out May 20), and the song "Ghosts."

"It's actually an honor, you know, that he thought of my music," Riley told MTV News. "But I kind of feel like (my work on) 'Blood on the Dancefloor' was kind of like, dated. That's not what I sound like today, but I thank him for giving me the opportunity once again. But what he needs to do is, you know, come back and get some of this heavy R&B and this new funk" [896k QuickTime].

Blackstreet's edition of "Unplugged," along with installments featuring Erykah Badu, Jewel, Fiona Apple, and The Wallflowers, will be airing this summer.
