The Insane Clown Posse had to hang up their greasepaint and Faygo for a couple of days after the group's tour bus drifted off a highway and down a bank leaving Violent J with a mild concussion last week.
As a result of the accident, which also gave Frank Moreno of tour openers Psycho Realm a concussion, the group postponed two shows set for Cleveland, Ohio on January 22 and 23. The group was back up on its feet and honored its promise to play those Cleveland dates on January 25 and 26.
The group's management company says that the ICP tour bus was rolling along Interstate 80 after playing Chicago's House of Blues last Wednesday when the vehicle went off the road at the Indiana/Ohio state line. The bus then slid down a snowy embankment remaining upright, and leaving most with only minor bruises.
According to the ICP camp, the bus driver maintains that a patch of ice and a cross-wind lead to the accident, but some crew members said that the incident may have been
caused by the driver nodding off at the wheel.
In a written statement describing the accident, ICP's management makes a brief reference to a lawsuit that it may or may not file against the bus driver, but a representative for the group could not elaborate on the comment.
