Insane Clown Posse Postpones Shows After Shaggy 2 Dope Collapses On Stage

Insane Clown Posse has been forced to reschedule a week's worth of concert dates after Shaggy 2 Dope collapsed on stage Monday night at Chicago's House Of Blues.

In mid-stride, the rapper fainted and fell off stage, unconscious and not breathing.

Paramedics administered CPR and Shaggy was rushed to Chicago's Northern Hospital where his collapse was diagnosed as being flu-related in conjunction with abnormally low blood sugar.

Doctors have ordered the Clown to rest for a week, forcing the group to postpone shows in Washington, Philadelphia, and additional dates in Chicago. Shaggy is currently resting at home in Detroit, and ICP plans to return to the road for next Tuesday night's show in Pittsburgh.

While ICP's tour in support of 1999's "Amazing Jeckel Brothers" has had it's share of issues, this marks the duo's first health related troubles. ICP had originally planned to support the album with a run on 1999's Family Values tour, only to see those slots go to

other acts. Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J then put together a co-headlining tour with Coal Chamber that lasted all of two shows before Coal Chamber left the tour. A war of words followed, and both acts went their separate ways as Coal Chamber toured with Slipknot and Machine Head while ICP made the rounds with Biohazard (see "Coal Chamber, ICP View 'Production Issues' Differently After Tour Fallout").
