ICP, Kid Rock, Sevendust Cover Hip-Hop Classics

Rap-friendly rockers (and rock-friendly rappers) Kid Rock, the Bloodhound Gang, and Insane Clown Posse are all confirmed to contribute to "Take A Bite Outta Rhyme: A Rock Tribute To Rap," a compilation album due from Republic Records on October 3.

According to media relations at Republic/Universal, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst may also contribute to the project, but rights to the track he would like to cover haven't been cleared yet.

Confirmed acts include Sevendust covering L.L. Cool J's "Going Back To Cali," The Bloodhound Gang with Black Sheep's "The Choice Is Yours," and The Kottonmouth Kings' reworking of The Geto Boys' "Mind Playin' Tricks On Me."

Other tracks will include Mindless Self Indulgence's cover of Method Man's "Bring The Pain," Dynamite Hack's hit version of Eazy-E/N.W.A.'s "Boyz-N-The Hood," Fun Lovin' Criminals' reworking of Rakim's "Microphone Fiend," and Molotov's take on Tone Loc's "Funky Cold Medina."

While Kid Rock and ICP

are each scheduled to appear on the compilation, Republic could not confirm what songs they will contribute.
