Goodie M.O.B. Spreads Holiday Cheer In Atlanta

Members of the hip-hop outfit Goodie M.O.B. got some help from Santonio Lucas (the 11-year-old boy whose family was gunned several months ago in Atlanta) when the rappers hit the RW Good Times Center last weekend to hand out presents and gift certificates to underprivileged children.

This summer, Lucas' sad story made headlines when his mother's e-boyfriend forced the boy to watch as the man shot the boy's mother, his aunt, and four other family members before shooting Lucas himself. The boy survived his gunshot wound to the arm after hiding in a closet for eight hours, and earlier this month Goodie M.O.B. and Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell visited Santonio at his home to share their condolences.

Santonio, who apparently is a fan of Goodie M.O.B.'s music, requested to spend some more time with the group, prompting the M.O.B. to accompany the boy to the event over the weekend.

The holiday giveaway was staged in conjunction with Atlanta radio station Hot 97.5.
