Is a member of the Goo Goo Dolls running for office? One might think so after viewing the trio's tour itinerary.Having spent time on the road in 1999 with the likes of Tonic, Sugar Ray, Fastball, and even the Rolling Stones, the Goos recently announced plans to play for U.S. military personnel stationed abroad (see [article id="1429603"]"Goo Goo Dolls To Bring Christmas Cheer To U.S. Troops Stationed Abroad"[/article]). Soon the group will be playing to a very different audience, via an appearance on "Sesame Street." Next week, the trio will be taping a segment for the popular children's show's 31st season. The appearance, which won't be airing until next year, will feature the band dueting with Elmo on a still-to-be-determined song. In other Goo news, the group will be performing at the "GQ Men Of The Year Awards" Thursday night along with Garth Brooks and Lenny Kravitz. The performances will be broadcast on VH1 on October 29 at 9 p.m.
