Ol' Dirty Bastard Recovering, Planning Track For Jackie Chan Flick

Now that the rapper commonly known as Ol' Dirty Bastard has walked out of a Brooklyn hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound, he is already eyeing his next project.

O.D.B., born Russell Jones and recently re-dubbed Big Baby Jesus, will soon record a new version of the 70s pop classic "Kung Fu Fighting" for the upcoming Jackie Chan/Chris Tucker vehicle "Rush Hour." The film is expected to hit theaters in September.

Just before being shot this week, O.D.B. had been in Orlando working on another soundtrack project with Coolio. The two recorded a duet for the film "Slam" which should hit theaters in August.

As we first reported on Tuesday (see "Wu-Tang Clan's Old Dirty Bastard Shot"), O.D.B. was shot that afternoon in what police are calling a robbery at the Brooklyn home of his girlfriend. The rapper was treated for what hospital officials called superficial wounds, and left eight hours later.
