After topping the likes of Jewel, Mariah Carey, and the Offspring in his first week in stores, Wu-Tang rapper Method Man is planning to stay on top with a promotional tour with his partner Redman.
Meth, whose "Tical 2000: Judgement Day" sold more than 410,000 copies to land at number two on the album chart behind only Garth Brooks, will join Redman this month to greet the people at record stores across the U.S.
"I'm gonna hit the road ASAP," Meth told our friends in the MTV Radio Network. "They sending us out, you know how Def Jam do. (The label's telling us) you guys get on the road now!" [28.8 RealAudio]
Meth and Redman, whose "Doc's The Name" arrives in stores next week, will be rolling in style. The duo's specially designed bus features hardwood floor, eight television sets, video game systems, and art from both artists on the outside.
The two will greet the
masses at stores in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Francisco, Richmond, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. over the next month.
