Tommy Lee Taps Wu-Tang, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Others For Side Project

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee looks to be stepping out in style when his side project debuts this year, with the help of Kid Rock, the Crystal Method, and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit among others.

Durst and Kid Rock recorded a track called "Get Naked" for Lee's side project, tentatively called Methods Of Mayhem. Lee says the act sounds like a cross between techno, hip-hop, industrial, and old school funkadelic with some heavy guitars.

The Crystal Method, Danny Lohner from Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys DJ Mixmaster Mike, DJ Product from (hed)pe, and DJ Bobby B from Kottonmouth Kings have also recorded tracks for the band's album called, "Real School." The Wu-Tang Clan's U-God will also turn up on the album rapping on a track called "You And I vs. All."

The 11 song album is expected to be released in December on either Lee's newly formed label Yummy Records, distributed by BMG, or it will be shopped around to various other labels.

Methods Of Mayhem

is also expected to turn up on the Crystal Method's next as-yet-untitled album, which is due out in late '99 or sometime early next year.
