Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard will reportedly not face criminal charges stemming from an incident last month in which police claim the rapper shot at officers who pulled him over in Brooklyn.
The New York local news channel NY1 reported on Thursday that a grand jury in the case ruled that the rapper, real name Russell Jones, should not face charges in connection with the incident.
As we first reported last month (see "ODB Arrested For Allegedly Shooting At Police"), police arrested the rapper on the evening of January 15 charging that O.D.B. fired at officers who pulled over a Chevy Tahoe carrying the rapper and his cousin, Frederic Cuffie. However, the rapper maintained his innocence, and officers could not link a weapon to O.D.B. or to Cuffie in the weeks following the incident.
The rapper was imprisoned for a week before posting $150,000 bail on January 22.
