Days after being arrested and released in Los Angeles, rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard found himself in police custody once again in Queens, New York, as officers arrested the rapper early Saturday on several drug possession charges after stopping his car for a traffic violation.According to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by MTV News, O.D.B. was pulled over on Saturday morning at 2:28 a.m. after he allegedly ran a red light while driving his 1994 Mercedes Benz convertible near 228 Street and Linden Boulevard in Queens. Police arrested the 30-year-old rapper, also known as Russell Jones, for driving on a suspended license, then searched O.D.B. and found 20 glassine envelopes containing in excess of 500 milligrams of cocaine and another glassine envelope containing an undetermined amount of marijuana in his pant pockets. According to the police report, O.D.B. was subsequently arrested for possessing a narcotic with intent to sell and was charged with criminal possession
of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, unlawful possession of marijuana, driving by unlicensed operator, and disobeying the red traffic signal light.As of Monday afternoon, the rapper remained in police custody while trying to raise bail in the amount of $15,000 in cash and a $200,000 bond. O.D.B. is next scheduled to appear before a judge to answer these charges in a New York criminal court on August 13.
