Method Man, Redman, Snoop, O.D.B., More Hook Up With WWF

The hip-hop flavored collection that the World Wrestling Federation promised last year will finally arrive next month, bringing with it new tracks from Snoop Dogg, Run-DMC, Cash Money Millionaires, Method Man & Redman, O.D.B., and others.

The album, tentatively titled "WWF Raw," will see these hip-hop luminaries take theme music from WWF stars, strip it down, rebuild it, and twist it into original tracks. Mobb Deep, Mystical, Kool Keith, Slick Rick & Dana Dane, the Hot Boys, Mack 10, C-Murder, and others will also be on board when the album arrives on February 29. More artists are expected to be added to the lineup in the near future.

On the album, the artists reworking the wrestling themes won't necessarily be rapping about the WWF stars, instead using the music as the foundation for new tracks.

The WWF has found chart success numerous times with its companion albums (most recently with "WWF - The Music, Volume 4," which cracked the "Billboard" top five), and first

announced its deal with Priority Records to hit the hip-hop market last August (see "Snoop Hooks Up With Dr. Dre For New Video, Plans To Team With WWF").

When the album arrives on February 29, here's what you can expect to find (more tracks will be added soon):

  • "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's Theme - Snoop Dogg w/ WC
  • The Rock's Theme - Big Tymers/Cash Money Millionaires
  • Triple H's Theme - Mystical
