Santana Reclaims Number One As Ghostface Arrives

D’Angelo may have rented the space for a while, but Santana continues to own the number one spot on the album chart.

According to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday, Santana’s “Supernatural” reclaims number one next week after seeing its one-week sales leap from 188,000 copies last week to 217,000 copies this week.

The album has been in and out of the top spot since its release last summer and had relinquished number one to D’Angelo for the last two weeks. The R&B hitmaker’s latest, “Voodoo,” will slip from number one to number four next week after seeing its one-week sales dip from 190,000 to 154,000 this week.

The biggest debut of the week belongs to Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ghostface Killah, whose “Supreme Clientele” arrives at number seven after selling more than 134,000 copies in its first week out.

Other notable debut this week include Drama’s “Causin’ Drama” at 59, the gospel compilation “2000 – Wow Gospel” at 93, and 3 Doors Down’s “Better Life”
at 104.
