Wu-Tang Clan To Spell Out "The W" In November

The Wu-Tang Clan is burning the candle at both ends these days.

After having just finished a successful monthlong tour (see Wu-Tang Clan Assembles For Summer Tour"), the Clan has returned to the studio to work on its forthcoming album, officially titled "The W" and now due out November 21.

The rap collective expects to release "Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)" as the first single from "The W" in late September. A throwback to the Wu-Tang Clan's past, the new single shares the same name as the group's groundbreaking first single, "Protect Ya Neck," that was featured on the Clan's 1993 debut, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)."

The Clan will film the video for both "Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)" and the planned second single, "Gravel Pit," during a multi-day shoot currently slated for September 12 to 14 in an as-yet-undetermined place.

And if that isn't enough for the Wu, the group is currently

in the midst of planning a full-fledged major tour to follow the record's release.

The Wu-Tang Clan also just relaunched its Wu-Wear clothing line during this week's "Magic" fashion convention in Las Vegas. Wu-Wear Inc. CEO and President Oli "Power" Grant was on hand for the event, where he debuted the Clan's new shoe, the Wu-Deville, as well as the fall line, which he described as "a necessity. It's like oxygen, water or money."
