Getaway People To Perform For Dalai Lama
Norway's The Getaway People are currently clubbing across America breaking in material from the band's upcoming second album, and next month the band will play for a slightly more divine audience.
The Getaway People, which released their acclaimed self-titled debut in 1998, has been invited to perform for His Holiness the Dalai Lama on May 21 in Stavanger, Norway as part of a conference being staged by the Worldview Rights organization at the Stavanger Konserthus.
In addition to the music performances, the Dalai Lama plans on delivering a lecture entitled "Values In A New Millennium" at the event, and will also answer questions from audience members and those submitted online during a Q&A session.
