Garbage To Begin Writing New Album

Feb. 20 [18:00 EST] -- Garbage will reportedly reconvene after the 1997 Grammy Awards and sequester themselves in a cabin near Seattle to write songs for their second album.

The band's guitarist/keyboardist, Steve Marker, told Addicted to Noise that the group (which is nominated for "Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal" and "Best Rock Song" for "Stupid Girl" as well as "Best New Artist") will hole themselves for a few weeks to write material for the follow up to their self-titled debut.

Once the band is comfortable with its output from those writing sessions, Marker reportedly said that the group will head to Madison, Wisconsin to tinker with them in the studio.

Marker also reportedly said that while he wasn't sure how long the whole creative process would take, he was hoping the album would be ready to hit stores in the fall.
