Garbage Offers Up "Version 2.0" Nail Polish

Garbage has become the latest musical act to branch out into the world of cosmetics and accessories, as the band is now selling a "Version 2.0" orange nail polish via its official Web site.

The particular shade was chosen by Shirley Manson for her fans and closely resembles the orange color that adorns the cover of the band's most recent album, "Version 2.0," which was released in May 1998

The nail polish will be sold exclusively through for about $16 and will be packaged in a miniature garbage pail can.

In related news, fans will get a glimpse at a different side of Shirley Manson when the singer turns up in a pair of new Calvin Klein ads -- sans makeup -- slated to start running in various fashion and style magazines this month.

Garbage's video for "Special," directed by Dawn Shadfort, has been nominated for a 1999 Video Music Award in the category of "Best Special Effects in a Video."
