Fugees' Lauryn To Get Help From Puffy, Mariah, Busta On Project

October 27 [10:00 EDT] -- At a benefit cocktail party for her non-profit organization, The Refugee Project, the Fugees' Lauryn Hill will introduce a Board of Trustees that includes Sean "Puffy" Combs, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, and Kirk Franklin among others.

The benefit, set for November 4 at New York's Museum For African Art, will also see the announcement of Spike Lee, D'Angelo, Malik Yoba, Susan Taylor, Cornell West, and Bethane Hardison as members of the board.

Lauryn, most recently seen on stage with Wyclef during his performance on MTV's "Live From The 10 Spot" Friday night, established the project in 1996 and has established summer camps for minorities in New York and New Jersey.

The project, which has also raised funds for Haitian refugees and registered thousands of voters, hopes to built a community center to offer education and job and college training.
