Wyclef Slates Tour, Second Haitian Benefit

After next week's Grammy Awards, where he will be up for two honors, the Fugees' Wyclef Jean will return to the road for a brief solo tour.

Wyclef, whose album "The Carnival" earned Grammy nods for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance, rolled out both his solo material and some Fugees favorites on his solo run earlier this year (see "Wyclef Gets Rolling On U.S. Tour"), and fans should look for more of the same when he hits the road again later this month.

The rapper is also expected to bring at least a few surprise guests along for the ride, as he has in past shows when he was joined by Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes (see "Puffy, Missy, Lauryn Come Out For Wyclef"), and fellow Fugees Praswell and Lauryn Hill among others.

Wyclef will take some time away from his preparations for another Haitian benefit concert, this one set for Miami on April 18, for the tour, which will

visit the following towns:

  • 2/27 - Northampton, MA @ Smith College
  • 2/28 - Towson, MD @ Towson University
  • 3/1 - Harrisburg, PA @ James Madison Univ.
  • 3/27 - Greensboro, NC @ Greensboro Coliseum
  • 3/28 - Myrtle Beach, SC @
  • 4/9 - Union, NJ @ Kean College
