Rap vixen Foxy Brown celebrated the forthcoming release of her new album, “Chyna Doll,” by throwing a star-studded bash on Tuesday night in New York City.
As expected, there were plenty of hip-hop hot shots in attendance, including Method Man, Redman, Pepa, Naughty By Nature and Russell Simmons. As for the ever-so-fashionable Foxy, she was decked out in an authentic fur coat — and very little else.
During the party, Brown talked with MTV about the new album, which she thinks has a more universal appeal than her 1996 smash debut, “Il Na Na,” thanks in part to all the guest appearances on “Chyna Doll.”
“I wanted to captivate [everyone],”
Brown said, “I wanted to get all the crowds. I wanted to get the Down South crowd, West Coast crowds, East Coast crowds, all the dopest MCs from each part of the world — and we just did our thing. It was dope, it was real hot. I’m very proud with this album.”
Jay-Z, DMX, Noreaga, Mia X and Gangsta Boo are among the artists who dropped some guest vocals on “Chyna Doll,” which is due in stores next week.
