Foo Fighter Dave Grohl Goes Home

May 8 [14:00 EST] -- The Foo Fighters will be putting in an appearance at Tower Records in Rockville, Maryland (a suburb of Washington, D.C.) on Friday May 16 at 4:00 p.m. Grohl is originally from Fairfax, Virginia, about thirty minutes across the Potomac River.

The band is also possibly scheduled to play the night of the 16th at the Black Cat in Washington, D.C., a club co-owned by Grohl and his friend, former Grey Matter drummer Dante Ferrando. Although unconfirmed, the club lists the date as a "Special Show." A Ticketmaster employee says the Foo Fighters are listed as playing, although tickets are not on sale yet. A source at the club says, "The special show is almost set-up."

The band's new album, "The Colour and the Shape," is due out May 20. The Foo Fighters begin a three-week overseas tour May 19 in England with Redd Kross opening the shows but return to support the Tibetan Freedom Fest in New York June 7.
