Fatboy Slim is said to be re-mixing a track from "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic," the new album by The Artist (formerly known as Prince), according to Britain's "New Musical Express."But while The Artist's official website acknowledges the report and names the song as "Everyday Is A Winding Road," the Sheryl Crow hit he covers on the album, it also cautions that Slim, a.k.a. Norman Cook, is only 'interested' in remixing the track and that nothing has been confirmed. "He naturally wants the blessings of 2 do this as he thinks it could b a big dance hit," says the site. "Stay 2ned." The "NME" story also saw Cook deny a rumor that that he was producing the next Madonna album. He told the magazine he would leave those duties to William Orbit. Fatboy Slim just wrapped up a quick North American promotional trip to the U.S. and Canada with two shows and a webcast at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY, this past weekend. Next on his itinerary are multi-city
New Years Eve performances in the U.K, followed by a bit of a break while he enjoys married life and works on material for a new album.
