DJ Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, has recruited Macy Gray as a special guest vocalist for his forthcoming studio album.
Both artists are working together in a Los Angeles studio this week and laying down tracks for Cook's follow-up to his 1998 platinum-selling LP, "You've Come A Long Way, Baby."
Fatboy has already written 15 songs for the still-untitled album, which is tentatively due out by year's end via the Astralwerks label.
If you can't wait that long to hear from the celeb DJ, two other Slim releases have surfaced in the States in the past weeks. "The Fatboy Slim/Norman Cook Collection" compiles some of his earlier mixes and productions, while the Fatboy edition of "On The Floor At The Boutique" (first released overseas in 1998) is a nonstop mix featuring cuts from the likes of the Jungle Brothers, Cut La Roc, and Fred Wesley alongside a couple of his own tracks.
