With Rob Zombie preparing to start raising and rocking the undead with a tour in support of his new solo album, “Hellbilly Deluxe,” some fans are curious to see what the difference is between a show from Zombie alone and from that of his band, White Zombie.
Blurring the lines even further between the two projects is the fact that White Zombie drummer John Tempestra is manning the sticks on both Rob Zombie’s album and tour — a point not entirely lost on the errant frontman.
“I got half of White Zombie playing with me now,” Zombie told the MTV Radio Network, “so it doesn’t seem to really make much of a difference. We’re playing White Zombie songs on tour, we’re playing the new songs on tour. Yadda yadda yadda, I don’t know. It’s one big, confusing Zombie mess.” [28.8 RealAudio]
Rob Zombie should have his band’s identity crisis solved by the time of the first “Hellbilly Deluxe”
road date, slated for October 6 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
