Everlast, The Roots, Macy Gray Team Up For Tour

Everlast, the Roots, and Macy Gray will join forces on August 5 to kick off a month-long North American tour in Montreal at the Plaza of Nations.

This will be Gray's first extended road trip in support of her upcoming debut album, "On How Life Is," which is expected to drop on Tuesday. Her buzzworthy clip for "Do Something" [RealVideo] is currently airing on MTV. As for Everlast and the Roots, they've been on the road separately in support of their respective albums, "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues" and "Things Fall Apart."

The Roots also released a five-song EP, "The Legendary," released last week, which will serve as a preview to their upcoming live album, "The Roots Come Alive." The record, which is due out in November, will feature songs compiled from the group's 1999 headlining tours in the U.S. and Europe. It will also contain three new studio tracks.
