Eve 6 Bounces Back

Eve 6 singer Max Collins has dodged the scalpel and is well enough to embark on a short tour with the band, confirms drummer Tony Fagenson in an emailed update.

The group was forced to cancel a U.S. road trip and the Canadian Edgefest tour when Collins came down with nodes on his vocal chords (see "Eve 6 Cancels Tour Plans"). The band will now be embarking on a short but widespread series of radio festivals and other events on both sides of the country and across the Atlantic, starting August 6 in Spokane, Washington. The trio's last road show was June 5 at the Atlanta Rockfest.

Eve 6 will have their song "Tonguetied" featured on the soundtrack of the movie "Teaching Mrs. Tingle," later this summer. The film, with "Scream" director Kevin Williamson at the helm, stars Katie Holmes ("Dawson's Creek") and Barry Watson ("7th Heaven").

Tony Fagenson reports that the band just finished shooting a video for the song along

with the movie's actors at Venice High School, the same local as the movie "Grease," not to mention a certain Britney Spears video. The video, the song, and the movie are all scheduled for late August.

Following the tour, the group plans to concentrate solely on recording its sophomore album.
