UPDATE: Eminem Arrested In Michigan Bar Brawl

White hot rapper Eminem was one of four people arrested in Warren, Michigan, early Sunday morning after a brawl erupted in the parking lot of the Hot Rocks Café.

Eminem was taken into custody on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, and Macomb County chief assistant prosecutor Joe Cosalino told MTV News on Monday that a decision will be made whether to formally charge Em, real name Marshall Mathers, on Tuesday.

Another man, believed to be one of Eminem's friends, was also arrested on the charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Two others, Robert Lee Brown, and Eminem's wife, Kimberly Ann Mathers, were cited on charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

A spokesperson for Eminem's label, Interscope Records, emphasized that the rapper had not been formally charged in the matter at that time, but was taken in for questioning on Sunday and then released.

Both Eminem and wife Kim were released Sunday afternoon, but Brown remains in custody while

attempting to raise money for a $1,000 bond. The name of the fourth man involved in the incident has yet to be released by Warren police.

Officers were apparently called to the Hot Rocks Café around 2 a.m. on Sunday by the bar's security guards, who claimed that they had detained a person for carrying a gun during the altercation.

According to an employee at Hot Rocks Café, Eminem started the fisticuffs after becoming upset when a male friend kissed his wife on the cheek. A fight subsequently erupted, and three Hot Rocks bouncers held Eminem after discovering an unloaded gun, allegedly belonging to either the rapper or his friend, on the ground.

In a statement released on Sunday by Warren police, authorities noted that when they arrived on the scene, they witnessed that "several people in the crowd were yelling loudly and refused to clear the area," likely leading to the disorderly conduct charges against the others.

Eminem currently owns the number

one album in the country with his just-released "Marshall Mathers LP" (see "Eminem Scores Sales Record In Busy Chart Week"), and is supposed to head out on the road with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg for the "Up In Smoke" tour, starting on June 15 in Chula Vista, California.
