Missy Elliott Does Soundtracks And Maybe More Lilith

Missy was a big hit at last month's winter edition of Lilith in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she plainly had a great time [Missy Elliott Live, 900k QuickTime]. Though McLachlan has not yet firmed up this summer's lineup, she did invite Missy to take part.

When MTV News asked Missy if she'd go on tour with Lilith, she said that she was still unsure.

"It's like a top priority for me. But right now I'm working on a soundtrack, I got two soundtracks that I'm working on, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" which is Vivica Fox, Halle Berry, and Larenz Tate. And then "Woo" which is Jada Pinkett, is gonna be starring in that. So it's like I'm gonna be really, really busy, but if I'm not doin' nothin' at the time, I don't have a problem at all goin' out. It would be fun" [600k QuickTime].

"Woo" opens May 15 while "Why Do Fools Fall In Love," based on the life of the

late great '50's Doo-Wop singer Frankie Lymon, is still in production with Larenz Tate of "Menace To Society" and "Dead Presidents" as Lymon.

Missy is also now producing the debut album by a new artist named Nicole, who has been signed to Missy's Goldmind label.
