September 3 [10:00 EDT] — As Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan strums away at the Video Music Awards Thursday night, his brother Jesse will be gearing up to shoot his feature film.
A veteran video music director, Jesse has shot clips for Nick Cave and Tom Waits among others. Now, he’ll bring Neil Gaiman¹s dark fantasy novel “Neverwhere” to the big screen sometime next year. There’s no word yet on casting for the project.
Meanwhile, Jesse and Jakob’s dad Bob Dylan, who just wound up a post heart infection tour with Ani DiFranco, is busy readying himself for a performance for the Pope. As we reported last month, Dylan will be performing for the Pope September 27 at the World Eucharistic Congress in Bologna, Italy.
