Smash Mouth, Posies, John Taylor Line Up For Anti-Drug Benefit

Smash Mouth will join noted Seattle power popsters the Posies and the latest outfit from Duran Duran’s John Taylor at a benefit later this month for a number of charities, including the Musicians’ Assistance Program.

In addition to a day’s worth of music, the event (dubbed Miracle in the Desert ’98) will also feature in-line skating, skateboarding, and BMX exhibitions, all to benefit the MAP, the Ranch (a residential recovery program), and Skillbuilders (which assists mentally and physically challenged children).
