After conquering the music world, R&B star Sisqo is setting his sights on the small screen and has just inked a development deal for a potential TV series with Big Ticket Television.
“Variety” reports that Big Ticket will soon shop a Sisqo series around to various network executives and hopes to have a pilot deal in place that would see the Dru Hill vocalist, whose real name is Mark Andrews, on TV by the fall of next year.
Sisqo is no stranger to the small screen, having spent part of the summer hosting the MTV dance program “Sisqo’s Shakedown,” and he recently signed on to be an ad pitchman for Pepsi and McDonald’s.
In January, Sisqo will make his feature film debut with a small role in “Getting Over Allison,” a film starring Kirsten Dunst and Ben Foster, in which Sisqo plays a basketball teammate of Foster’s character.
Sisqo’s first solo album, “Unleash The Dragon,” has already sold more than 3.5 million copies, according to SoundScan,
and the album’s newest single, “Incomplete,” is currently number five on the “R&R” Urban radio chart.
