Goo Goo Dolls Revise Tour Plans, Juggle Fastball And Dovetail Joint As New Openers

The Goo Goo Dolls will join the Rolling Stones for six concerts starting next week and continuing through the end of the month, after which the band will start its own headlining tour on March 30 in Syracuse, New York.

The Dolls have also tapped a pair of new opening acts in Fastball and Dovetail Joint, with the latter picking up some two weeks worth of dates from previously announced openers the New Radicals, whose Goo Goo run will now come to an end on April 18 in Wayne, Nebraska.

During its tour, the Goo Goo Dolls will be soliciting canned goods from audience-goers as part of a joint food-drive program with U.S.A. Harvest, and the food delivery organization will in-turn distribute the foodstuffs to local shelters and soup kitchens.
