Keanu Returns To Dogstar; Band Prepares New Album, Tour

If you want to catch Keanu Reeves' first post-"Matrix" project, you won't be heading to your local theater.

Keanu is currently focussing his time on his band Dogstar, which recently landed on Ultimatum Music. The band (which features guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and Reeves on bass) will release its as-yet-untitled U.S. debut album this fall. The release follows a 1996 LP, "Our Little Visionary," that was released only in Japan, and an EP titled "Quattro Formaggi" that was released in the States that same year.

The new album will feature approximately a dozen new songs from the band, all produced by Michael Vail Blum who has worked with the Goo Goo Dolls, Low Pop Suicide, and Infectious Grooves.

The band will debut its new tracks on a U.S. tour that kicks off with a stop at the annual EAT'M (Emerging Artists and Talent in Music) showcase in Las Vegas next week.
