Dr. Dre Discusses Follow-Up To "Chronic"

As he puts his entrepreneurial side on hold for the moment, Dr. Dre has cleared the decks and finally started work on his long-awaited follow-up to his massive 1992 album, "The Chronic," which Dre hopes to have out by the end of the year.

Plans currently call for Dre's new album to be a single disc, and as the rapper told MTV News recently, his return record will also mark the reunion with another ultra-notable hip-hop name.

"Me and Snoop did two cuts together for the album," Dre said, "and I'd say I have four cuts I'm really feelin' out of the 15 I've done. [400k QuickTime] So I'm just gonna keep flowin' with it until I get 14 good ones."

Dre also said that the "Chronic" follow-up will feature guest spots by Hit-Man, Diesel and Punch, but declined to offer any titles of the forthcoming tracks.
