Snoop Dogg Looks Forward To Chronic 2000 Tour With Dre, Eminem, Xzibit

Snoop Dogg jumped onstage with Eminem and mentor Dr. Dre for a special medley at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards, and the three rappers are planning to head out on the road together for a joint tour early next year.

MTV News caught up with Snoop Dogg backstage at the Video Music Awards, and the rapper talked about the planned outing, currently dubbed the Chronic 2000 Tour.

“Yeah, me, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Xzibit, Warren G, and Nate Dogg,” Snoop said. “We’re going out on the Chronic 2000 Tour in early 2000. Right now we’re just trying to get these records out.”

Before the Chronic 2000 tour, Dr. Dre and Snoop plan to join forces onstage in Oahu, Hawaii on September 26 as part of the three-day Concert on Chronic Island (see “Snoop Dogg And Dr. Dre To Reunite On Stage” ).

“It’s
the reunion, man,”
Snoop said of the Chronic Island gig. “We gonna have a bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb time. Me and Dr. Dre, we’re just getting back to doing things together, but this show is going to be an actual reunion of us performing, embracing each other, and doing the classic songs that everybody loves to hear. We’re just going to have a good time, so be there or be square.” [RealVideo]

Dr. Dre and Snoop also share rhymes on “Just Dippin’,” the upcoming second single from Snoop’s current No Limit album, “Top Dogg.”

Snoop, Eminem, and Busta Rhymes are scheduled to play a special one-off show at the Pic-A-Chic Theater in Bloomington, Indiana on September 18.
