For DMX, Onyx, Def Squad Time To Get Ill On Road

One of the newest hip hop package festivals will kick off next week, as the Survival of the Illest Tour featuring DMX, Onyx and the Def Squad launches in Roanoke, Virginia on June 16.

The essence of the start-up tour will be captured on a limited edition CD, also entitled "Survival of the Illest," being distributed with the first 50,000 copies of DMX's chart-topping new album, "It's Dark & Hell Is Hot," Onyx's "Shut 'Em Down" and Def Squad's "El Nino," which arrives in stores on June 30.

The bonus album includes unreleased tracks from the acts on the bill, as well as others from Redman, Method Man and Flesh-N-Bone.
