Celine To Set Sail On Summer Tour

Canadian songbird and global star Celine Dion held a press conference in New York on Monday to talk up her two-month late summer tour which will get underway in Boston on August 21.

Tickets for the various shows will start going on sale this Friday.

The tour announcement comes as Dion continues to ride high on the album chart, but the movie vessel that brought her hit “My Heart Will Go On” to a record audience, “Titanic,” is beginning to sink at the box office. The film dropped to number three at the box office this past weekend, having grossed just under $9 million trailing the weekend’s number-two film, “Lost In Space,” with a $13 million tally, and the new number one, “City Of Angels,” with $16 million.

The timing of “Titanic”‘s submersion certainly seemed appropriate… Tuesday April 14 marks the 86th anniversary of the ship’s sinking.
