Ani DiFranco Has New Album, TV Appearances On The Way

December 3 [16:30 EDT] -- Singer Ani DiFranco's resumé is ever-expanding.

On February 17 she'll be releasing a new album, "Little Plastic Castles," on her own label, Righteous Babe Records. The new LP will include studio recordings of songs DiFranco has been performing live, including "Fuel" and an alternative version of "Gravel."

On January 3, DiFranco will be appearing on the PBS show "Sessions at West 54th," with British trip hop artist Tricky. And in the pop culture niche, DiFranco will lend her voice to the animated "King Of The Hill". DiFranco will play an angry female rocker who urges Peggy Hill to reject her role as homemaker.

DiFranco's song "Joyful Girl (The Peace & Love Remix)" appears on "The Jackal" soundtrack, and she also has a track, "In Or Out," on the Rhino album "Lesbian Favorites: Women Like Us," with such other artists as kd lang, Phranc, and Wendy & Lisa.
